Planning a holiday to Sri Lanka sounds exciting. Until you actually start planning it. Should you spend two nights in Ella or three? Is Sigiriya really worth it? Which safari is the best? Should you stay on the south coast or the east coast? Which hotels are genuinely worth your money? How long are the drives really? What should you skip? Will you spend more time travelling than actually enjoying the places you came to see?

Are those "hidden gems" really hidden, or just popular tourist stops with a different name? Can you fit everything into one trip, or will you end up rushing through it all? Which experiences are genuinely unforgettable, and which are simply overhyped?

Most travellers spend weeks reading blogs, watching YouTube videos, comparing reviews, opening dozens of browser tabs, saving hundreds of places on Google Maps, and asking for advice in Facebook groups, only to receive completely different answers and end up more confused than when they started.

That's because information is everywhere. Good advice isn't. It's about knowing what matters most to you.

That's why we don't begin by asking, "Which package would you like?" We begin by asking, "When you look back on this holiday years from now, what do you hope you'll remember?"

For some people, it's watching the sunrise from the top of Sigiriya.
